Nash attended high school at LaSalle Military Academy, Oakdale, NY following in the footsteps of his late father, Judge James A. Roe, Jr., to graduate in 1974.
Nash Roe continued to move on to college at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration as a major.
While in the summer of 1977 Nash was hired as an intern at CUA, where he began to learn the basic skills of public relations within the insurance industry. Then in February 1979, joined CUA on a full time basis and started working in the personal lines department, shortly followed by a transfer to commercial lines by 1980.
Eager to learn more about insurance, in the fall of 1979 he attended the School for Agents in Philadelphia, PA, which was offered by the Insurance Company of North America. In the winter of 1980, he attended a seminar on the Principles of Suretyship which was offered through the National Association of Surety Bond Producers, (NASBP).
In an effort to gain expertise in methods for reducing risk exposures and costs for commercial insurance risks, he attended the Principles of Risk Management at the College of Insurance, in New York City the winter of 1981.
Nash quickly furthered his career participating in and establishing memberships within various trade associations, including the General Contractors Association of New York City, Subcontractors Trade Association, the Queens-Bronx Building Association, and the Long Island Contractors Association.
By 1982 Nash was appointed Producer and Vice President of CUA. Nash resides with his wife, Jeannette and their two children in Floral Park, NY.
